The Partnership for the Interdisciplinary Study of Coastal Oceans is a consortium of four universities (Oregon State University, UC Santa Cruz, Stanford University, and UC Santa Barbara) who have joined together to investigate the physical and biological processes of the nearshore region along Oregon and California coasts. PISCO is funded by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation with the goal of providing a new model for solving environmental problems faced by our seas.
